Position Overview

Equinix is the world’s digital infrastructure company® operating over 260 data centers globally. As the SVP, Sales for the Americas – reporting directly to Equinix’s Chief Sales Officer – you will define the strategic vision, serve as a thought leader, and drive robust account management across regional Partner and Field Sales teams. In this role, you will accelerate new business, protect strategic accounts, and work closely with cross-functional teams including Finance, Marketing, Business Development, Technical Sales, Customer Support, and Product to expand enterprise sales and execute our growth strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Equinix’s enterprise customer strategy by balancing legacy account management with building a robust pipeline of new enterprise customers.
  • Scale channel impact through sell-with, sell-to, and sell-through strategies.
  • Manage targets by delivering quarterly and annual revenue objectives and maintaining accurate forecasting and account profiles.
  • Translate long-term corporate strategy to actionable field execution ensuring teams have clear direction, resources, and support.
  • Differentiate in the market by executing the company’s vision, generating competitive regional value, and building product awareness via training and seminars.
  • Define and achieve platform sales strategy and financial performance targets, transitioning from product-based to platform-based solutions.
  • Align cross-functional teams to enhance prospecting, demand generation, and enterprise selling, fostering a culture of coaching and continuous growth.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven track record in enterprise sales with demonstrated success.
  • Experience managing P&L (in excess of $1B), balance sheet, and cash flow.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise challenges that drive the need for interconnection services.
  • Experience establishing and scaling direct enterprise sales and partner models across diverse industries.
  • Expertise in recurring revenue, complex solution selling, and enabling B2B platforms.
  • Ability to balance intense short-term pressures with long-term strategic goals while inspiring change and motivating teams.
  • Exceptional collaboration and relationship-building skills to work effectively across disparate groups.
