Job Description

Position Overview

As a Senior Clinical Data Analyst at Tendo, you will play a crucial role in identifying operational improvement opportunities through analytics to achieve or surpass financial, quality, and operational goals for our customers. You will leverage your expertise in healthcare operations, workflow, and Electronic Health Record (EHR) reporting to synthesize data and provide insights that drive improvements. You will curate data sets, organize information, and collaborate with both the Tendo team and corporate/operational leaders to develop and maintain data extracts, interactive reports, dashboards, and self-service products. Additionally, you will prepare presentation materials and facilitate ongoing customer engagement, directly impacting our customers’ success and our team’s growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather requirements, conduct data sourcing, cleaning, and quality assurance of data output.
  • Build, automate, and maintain data extracts, reports, dashboards, and self-service products.
  • Collaborate with Data Scientists to explore operational improvement opportunities and create predictive models and applications.
  • Act as a single point of contact and support the needs of the Operations Teams of Tendo’s customers.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional experience working in clinical data analytics in a healthcare setting.
  • 5+ years of professional experience working with Electronic Health Record (EHR) Analytics (Epic Clarity and Caboodle).
  • Bachelor’s in Computer/Data Science, Engineering, Business/Finance, or Health Sciences OR Master’s in Public Health, Data Science, Business Administration, or Statistics OR relevant work experience with a strong portfolio of projects.
  • Experience in using and configuring business intelligence tools (e.g., PowerBI, Crystal Reports, Universe, Web Intelligence tool).
  • Proficiency in SQL querying and data manipulation, including stored procedures and query optimization.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.
  • Knowledge of Clinical Documentation in EHR and the ability to extract data based on workflow descriptions.
  • Excellent communication skills with demonstrated success managing multiple clients and projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a professional software environment using source control (git), issue trackers (JIRA, Confluence, ServiceNow, Azure DevOps, etc.), continuous integration, code reviews, and agile development (Scrum/Lean).
  • Familiarity with AWS technology stack (S3, Glue, Athena, EMR, etc.).
  • Knowledge of healthcare data standards such as HL7, FHIR, ICD, SNOMED, or LOINC.
  • Experience with Delta Lake, Databricks, and Apache Spark (PySpark or Scala).
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and familiarity with machine learning workflows and frameworks.

  • Base Salary Range: $102,000-$138,000. Final compensation is determined based on geography, experience, and other factors, and includes an equity package and annual bonuses.
