Position Overview
Sleeping Dog Properties, Inc. is a Boston-based Design-Build company founded in 1993, serving the Boston and New England market. Widely recognized as a leader in the industry, the company specializes in delivering exceptional quality on high-end residential, unique hospitality, and flagship retail projects with a mission of Building Better. We are seeking a creative and hands-on Digital Content Creator to strengthen and expand our robust marketing platform. You will work closely with the Sales and Marketing teams to develop engaging digital content across social media and other channels. This role involves filming, editing high-quality videos and photography, and contributing to content strategy and campaign planning. Frequent visits to active construction sites require comfort with the environment and a readiness to get a little dirty.
Key Responsibilities
- Film and edit video content for short-form social media platforms like Instagram Reels + Stories and YouTube Shorts.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Manager and Sr. Digital Marketing Coordinator to plan, schedule, and coordinate projects and video shoots.
- Shoot content using professional camera equipment.
- Identify emerging and trending social media trends and formats to keep the Marketing team current.
- Ensure quality and brand consistency across all digital content.
- Coordinate with internal employees, subcontractors, designers, architects, vendors, etc., for on-camera videos.
- Maintain an organized library of video and photo assets to streamline editing and post-production processes.
Required Qualifications
- 2-5 years of experience producing, shooting, and editing video content for brands, events, or creators.
- Expertise in editing using Adobe Premiere Pro or Davinci Resolve.
- Proficiency with the Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Lightroom, InDesign, Illustrator).
- Experience with Canon camera equipment and lenses.
- Strong understanding of social media content, strategies, and storytelling.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive mindset.
- Natural eye for composing and lighting videos.
- Positive and collaborative attitude.
- Comfort working on construction job sites.
- Willingness to work in Boston and travel to other New England locations as needed.
- Portfolio submission of videos and photos is required.
- OSHA 10 certification (training available after hiring).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Adobe After Effects (motion graphics, motion design, animation).
- Audio mixing and editing skills.
- Proficiency in color grading and color correction.
- Experience in studio and set design.
