Job Description
Position Overview
The Department of Marketing and Supply Chain Management in the Fogelman College of Business and Economics at the University of Memphis is seeking candidates for two Dunavant Associate Professor positions in Supply Chain Management. This is a nine‐month tenure track appointment beginning in the 2026-2027 academic year, with primary teaching on the Memphis Campus (including online and occasional off-campus courses). Hiring is contingent on final budget approval.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain an outstanding record of research and top-tier peer-reviewed publications, including at least one A-rated journal per year and active participation in external grant applications and research initiatives.
- Teach four Supply Chain Management courses (12 credit hours) for undergraduate and MBA programs, ensuring high student learning outcomes.
- Assist with the recruitment of SCM students, maintain relationships with professional organizations, and uphold AACSB scholarly academic standards.
- Serve on Department, College, and University Committees and participate in related service activities.
Required Qualifications
- A Ph.D. in Supply Chain Management or a closely related discipline from an AACSB-accredited institution.
- Demonstrated research leadership with a strong publication record and experience in grant proposals.
- Online teaching experience with proven effectiveness in higher education.
- A record of professional engagement and successful external research support.

- Industry experience in Supply Chain Management.
