Job Description

Position Overview

The Production Support role is an entry-level position that provides support to the beverage manufacturing processes. This position is responsible for setting up, adjusting, maintaining, and configuring equipment to build pallets of beverage products for warehouse storage and shipment to customers. The role involves building pallets according to assigned specifications, maintaining regular communication with production personnel and supervisors, and completing required production paperwork.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently start up the automated and manual portions of the Variety Pack Line, Direct Ready Pallet production, Re-packing production, and similar material handling processes and equipment.
  • Conduct visual inspections and complete documentation during the run to ensure defect-free work.
  • Backfill production lines as needed.
  • Utilize pick tickets and receiving documentation to accurately choose products for the VP DRP line.
  • Build stable, well-built, and accurate pallet loads for shipment – both automated and manual.
  • Properly operate both automated and manual wrappers to secure pallet loads with plastic wrap.
  • Ensure item pick accuracy and the safety of products to prevent damage.
  • Understand pallet layers, heights, and counting methods for efficient handling.
  • Read and comprehend product descriptions, packaging details, and pick ticket messages.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment by cleaning and clearing debris and materials.
  • Verify case combination and size according to schedule.
  • Consistently meet established company production and service level standards while recording hourly production data.
  • Utilize warehouse processes to minimize product damage and waste.
  • Inform the supervisor of any discrepancies in case quantity or product description.
  • Follow work rules as outlined in the Employee Handbook, “Welcome to National BevPak.”
  • GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and FDA (Food and Drug Administration) compliance MUST be adhered to at all times.
  • Keep the work area clean at all times.
  • Shut down all equipment at the end of the shift if the production line is ending for the day.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications

  • High School/General Education Diploma preferred.
  • Prior warehouse experience is a plus.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Favorable background and drug exam.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability and willingness to work a flexible full-time schedule that may include weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to provide own transportation to various locations as required.
