Job Description

Position Overview

Bobby Dodd Institute (BDI) is seeking a dedicated customer service professional to handle inbound/outbound calls, address customer inquiries, and process orders while maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and compliance (including HIPAA guidelines). The role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering an outstanding customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer inbound and place outbound calls professionally
  • Respond to customer inquiries and provide product/service information
  • Research required information using available resources and enter customer information
  • Process orders, forms, and applications
  • Identify and escalate priority issues, including complaints
  • Route calls to the appropriate resource
  • Comply with all HIPAA guidelines to protect personal health information
  • Follow company core values and mission
  • Pass skills assessments during the recruitment/hiring process
  • Pass required background drug screening and adhere to attendance & performance metrics
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Required Qualifications

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Strong knowledge of customer service principles and practices
  • Excellent active listening, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Strong data entry, keyboard skills, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in a fast-paced customer service role managing multiple tasks
  • Experience in maintaining clear and calm communication by phone
  • Proven ability to effectively use computer systems and maintain accurate records
