Position Overview

Leading benefits company is looking for a part-time administrative assistant. This position is great for retirees or those who want to embark on a journey to become a career administrative professional! The role involves performing receptionist and administrative duties with an emphasis on maintaining confidentiality, handling multiple projects, and ensuring smooth front-office operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represents the organization during community projects and at public, social, and business gatherings.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all company information and documents.
  • Performs receptionist duties including answering the switchboard and directing phone calls.
  • Monitors front door access in compliance with company policies.
  • Welcomes guests and accepts deliveries.
  • Performs mail duties and handles outgoing shipments.
  • Orders, tracks, and disseminates department office supplies.
  • Manages and directs multiple projects independently.
  • Performs clerical duties such as data entry, scheduling training, and coordinating conference rooms and setups as directed.
  • Distributes inbound faxes and transmits outbound requests.
  • Communicates issues in a timely manner to management.
  • Maintains working knowledge of company and department activities.
  • Assists with HR-related projects.
  • Works in a smoke-free environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated customer service skills with clear verbal and written communication.
  • Experience working in fast-paced environments and handling pressure situations professionally.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail, analytical thinking, and decisiveness.
  • Excellent organizational skills to prioritize work, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Two to four years of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience operating a multi-line phone system and strong computer/administrative skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products.
  • High School education is required.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience (Entry Level).

  • Compensation:$17 - $18 per hour

  • Work Hours: 9 AM - 12 PM
