1.19- Business Analyst/QA Analyst

Position Overview

Our direct client is seeking a Business Analyst/QA Analyst for a 6-month contract role in Phoenix, AZ. The position is currently remote with an anticipated on‑site requirement of one day every other week in the future; if you are not local to Phoenix, you must be willing to relocate. Compensation: Rates are $45 (W2) or $50 (C2C) for independent contractors. Please note, you must have an EIN number at the time of hire and be a direct candidate – no employers allowed.

Key Responsibilities

• 50% – Develop test plans, scenarios, cases, and scripts to ensure adequate test coverage; provide guidance to developers on implementing solutions; execute testing based on documented test cases/scripts; conduct user acceptance testing with end users; and document and track software defects and performance issues.
• 30% – Identify, evaluate, and document business needs, objectives, operational processes, and requirements; perform requirements elicitation and management; and facilitate communication between stakeholders to ensure alignment and resolution of conflicts.
• 20% – Document processes and procedures related to Business Analysis and Quality Assurance standards; prepare release documentation for production deployments; and identify opportunities for test automation, including documenting test flows and data requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Windows Server Experience.
• Intermediate SQL Server/Database Testing Experience (Tables/Views, Stored Procedures).
• Intermediate Test Strategy and Test Data Preparation/Management Experience.
• Intermediate SDLC – Agile (Scrum, Kanban) Experience.
• Intermediate STLC – Agile Testing Experience.
• Intermediate MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) Experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Database Testing Experience (Indexes, Triggers, SQL Jobs).
• Business Intelligence, ETL, and Reporting Testing Experience (Tableau, SSIS, SSRS).
• Automation Testing Experience (UI – Selenium; Web Services – Postman, SoapUI; Load/Performance – JMeter).
• Intermediate TFS/VSTS/Azure DevOps Experience (Agile lifecycle model, test/defect management).
