Job Description

Position Overview

IS4S is seeking an Engineer or Developer in Auburn, AL to assist in the development of Electronic Warfare (EW) sensors and processors. This role requires a self‐driven problem solver who works well within a team as well as independently, with responsibilities ranging from developing sensor interfaces and implementing signal processing/data fusion algorithms to conducting various testing activities. DoD clearance eligibility is required, and candidates must be US citizens.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop interfaces between sensors and distributed applications.
  • Implement signal processing and data fusion algorithms on embedded hardware or computer systems to measure and impact the EW environment.
  • Determine and drive data flows through multiple interacting processes.
  • Develop web-based plugins to augment existing Command and Control components.
  • Create analysis, assessment, and visualization tools for engineering purposes and to inform customers and end users.
  • Conduct software and hardware in-the-loop testing, including live testing at local and Government sites.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or in pursuit of one) in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field.
  • Proficiency in C++ and/or Java.
  • Experience developing web applications.
  • Ability to turn concepts into efficient algorithms.
  • Strong knowledge of Unix systems, particularly at the command line.
  • High proficiency in MS Excel and Word.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability and motivation to work with minimal direction.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Electronic Warfare.
  • Familiarity with JICD 4.2 and mission application development.
  • Experience with Army Command and Control systems.
  • Understanding of Assured Position, Navigation, and Timing concepts and systems.
  • Knowledge of software defined radios or FPGA development using VHDL.
  • Experience with Data Distribution Service or other middleware/transport mechanisms.
  • Expertise in Unix networking, scripting, and operating systems at the command line level.
  • Ability to generate graphics and visuals to facilitate communication.
