Job Description

Position Overview

Holland America Line, a company exploring the world since 1873, is seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Photo Operations based in the Miami office. You will drive performance, innovation, and guest impact across shipboard and shoreside photo operations, manage pre-cruise sales initiatives, retail product development, inventory optimization, and reporting enhancements, all while elevating the guest experience and maximizing revenue. Reporting directly to the Director of Photo Operations, you will bridge corporate strategy with onboard execution, ensuring alignment across departments and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pre-Cruise Sales Strategy & Execution: Lead the development and deployment of pre-cruise photo sales initiatives including concept ideation, pricing strategy, marketing alignment, and ongoing enhancements. Serve as the subject matter expert ensuring timely execution and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Retail Product Development & Lifecycle Management: Oversee design, pricing, marketing, and forecasting of photo-related retail products. Manage vendor relationships and inventory levels to ensure product availability and freshness in line with brand standards.
  • Inventory & Stock Optimization: Lead efforts to forecast, purchase, and manage inventory, monitor stock aging, and implement strategies to optimize turnover while supporting emergency orders and vessel visits.
  • Reporting & Business Intelligence: Partner with analytical teams to enhance reporting capabilities, ensuring data accuracy and developing new tools to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Operational Oversight & SOP Development: Manage day-to-day operations, refine standard operating procedures, and contribute to broader business ideation and innovation in photo operations.
  • Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement: Motivate cross-functional teams, present proposals and updates to senior leadership, and foster strong relationships between shipboard and shoreside teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in retail, hospitality, or cruising industry.
  • Strong proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word with advanced data interpretation skills.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects independently.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills with keen attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of cruise line photo operations and/or shipboard revenue operations.
  • Experience in retail, hospitality, or cruise operations.

  • Base Salary Range: $88,100.00 to $119,000.00 (Final base salary is directly related to each candidate’s qualifications and experience.)
