Job Description

Position Overview

As a Part Time Customer Service Associate, you will be interacting with customers to provide world-class service at Hertz. In this role, you will flex into various customer service functions—from greeting customers and answering inquiries, to processing rentals and returns—with the goal of delivering a seamless experience. Compensation: $14.75 hourly

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide world-class customer service by managing the rental (and occasionally return) process in compliance with Hertz’s policies and procedures.
  • Welcome each customer with a smile and proudly represent Hertz through professional appearance, language, and behavior.
  • Ensure every customer receives a clean and safe vehicle, taking ownership of each service experience and resolving issues promptly.
  • Utilize company approved sales and service techniques to determine customer needs and offer optional products accordingly.
  • Prepare all rental and return documents accurately, review rental parameters, and ensure that charges and return details are correct.
  • Answer phones and assist customers by resolving service issues and coordinating to minimize wait times.
  • Embody a passion for going for the WOW! and build brand loyalty throughout every customer interaction.

Required Qualifications

  • Passion for customer service with strong attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated with a drive to achieve and exceed targeted goals.
  • Strong computer proficiency, including typing skills and the ability to navigate multiple systems simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in English with excellent written and oral communication skills (additional language skills are a plus).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well within a team.
  • 100% customer focus with proven experience in a customer-facing environment.

  • Willingness to work flexible shifts including weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and remain on your feet for long periods.
