Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Urban Design and Planning Market Leader with a passion for walkable urbanism, mixed-use communities, and high-quality placemaking. This senior role, reporting to the Practice Group Manager, Placemaking, offers an opportunity to drive growth and lead transformative urban design projects in the US West region.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the US Placemaking team with a focus on building the US West practice.
- Contribute to the development and execution of the business plan ensuring team alignment.
- Take a lead role in identifying, cultivating, and growing new client relationships in Texas.
- Build strong client relationships to drive organic revenue growth and ensure retention.
- Develop talent within the practice group and participate in resource utilization decisions.
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of client needs and market trends to identify new opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- A relevant degree in urban design, urban planning, landscape architecture, and/or architecture.
- 10+ years of experience in urban planning, urban design, architecture, and/or landscape architecture with a focus on walkable urbanism.
- Proven leadership in building and managing successful planning and urban design practices in interdisciplinary settings, including managing geographically dispersed teams.
- Strong storytelling skills (verbal, written, and graphical) to effectively communicate ideas to clients and technical teams.
- Critical thinking and innovative strategies blending land use, urban design, and planning.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office; working knowledge of ArcGIS, SketchUp, and AutoCAD is desired. Knowledge of Revit, Rhino, or other 3D graphics design software is a plus.

- Compensation: $102,000 - $173,000 (actual salaries will vary based on experience, education, internal equity, project and location)
