Account Executive/Job Development (Special Needs) - Staten Island

Position Overview
AHRC NYC, one of the largest providers of services for children and adults with developmental disabilities in New York City, is dedicated to advocating for neuro-diverse individuals to lead full and equitable lives. We are seeking an Account Executive/Job Developer for our Staten Island Employment Business Services (EBS) Advance & Earn Program—an internship initiative that prepares NYC Youth for a rewarding career. In this role, you will work from our Staten Island office and travel across the city to develop strong employer relationships.
Compensation: $50,000-$60,000 per year plus a comprehensive, low-cost health benefit package.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop employment opportunities for people supported as outlined in Addendum #1.
- Promote a positive image and in-depth knowledge of AHRC's Employment & Business Services.
- Initiate employer relationships through cold calling, networking, and business group involvement.
- Cultivate relationships with employers to match job seekers’ abilities with business needs.
- Accompany job seekers to interviews and assist them in presenting themselves effectively.
- Coordinate account management with the Employment and Community Service Coordinator and other EBS staff.
- Ensure quarterly program placement goals are met and submit monthly placement reports.
- Prepare and deliver marketing presentations as required.
- Participate in networking events and other marketing initiatives.
- Travel throughout the five boroughs and beyond as needed.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Arts or Science with 2 years of marketing/sales experience, or an Associate's Degree with 5 years of experience.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with Account Executives and Employment & Community Service Coordinators.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with people with disabilities and/or youth.
- NYS driver's license with a clean driving record.
