AI/ML Engineer Atlanta (Remote Friendly)

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy AI-powered software solutions across user-facing products, fraud detection, customer service automation, marketing automation, and more.
• Develop tools and infrastructure to support advanced AI workflows including agentic architectures and future initiatives in distillation and fine-tuning.
• Partner with product managers and cross-functional engineering teams to bring new AI features to life quickly and iteratively.
• Implement and optimize prompt engineering strategies, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), vector stores, and chain-of-thought reasoning capabilities.
• Ensure robust integration of AI systems into our core architecture with high performance and scalability.
• Contribute to our AI infrastructure and pipelines.
• Own the end-to-end lifecycle of your work—from ideation to production, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
• Push the boundaries of state-of-the-art AI technologies while thriving in a fast-paced, highly collaborative team environment.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience building and deploying AI Agents and applications in production.
• Solid understanding of large language models (LLMs), generative AI concepts, and agentic architectures (e.g., multi-agent systems, tool usage, fine-tuning).
• Hands-on experience with advanced prompt engineering and modern AI frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, or CrewAI.
• Robust software engineering background in building microservices or APIs (e.g., FastAPI, Flask, Node.js) with fluency in Python or JavaScript.
• Experience with AI Agent deployment and monitoring, including testing and managing non-deterministic agents.
• Familiarity with at least one major machine learning platform (e.g., Databricks, AWS SageMaker, Vertex AI).
• A track record of shipping high-impact products or research in fast-moving environments.
• Curiosity and excitement for working at the cutting edge of AI coupled with the pragmatism to apply it effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with a JVM language (Java, Kotlin, Scala, etc.).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins) and monitoring tools (e.g., Datadog, Prometheus) for both traditional software and AI applications.
• Direct experience with fine-tuning LLMs for specific tasks.

Compensation Details

Greenlight provides a competitiveCompensationpackage with a market-based approach to pay that varies based on location, experience, and skill set. The total package includes a discretionary performance bonus, equity rewards, comprehensive medical benefits, a 401K match, and more. Continuous compensation evaluations ensure our pay remains current and competitive.

• For CO: $122,000 - $160,000 base pay
