Position Overview

In the fast-growing Electrical business class of our Building Engineering Services group, every role makes a difference. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will lead the electrical design and engineering efforts for diverse building projects—ranging from public to industrial—with a focus on engineering excellence and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the work of Electrical Engineers as part of a multidisciplinary team throughout project development.
- Establish client relations and participate in marketing, design, and production meetings concerning electrical systems.
- Assume the electrical lead on multiple projects.
- Participate in reviews with governing agencies for code compliance.
- Conduct schematic, design development, and contract document work sessions alongside the Project Manager, Project Architect, and other disciplines.
- Coordinate workload through all stages to ensure documents are completed on schedule.
- Track project financial aspects and adjust team efforts to meet deadlines and budgets.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager and Regional Controller for project reviews with corporate management as necessary.
- Direct and mentor electrical engineering professionals on the team.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical design of buildings (lighting, power, and systems).
- Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license required.
- Extensive knowledge of building electrical power, lighting, signal design, life safety systems, and building management systems.
- Strong computer proficiency with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and electrical design software.

Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis.
- Previous healthcare experience with an architectural or engineering consulting firm.
- Previous datacenter experience with an architectural or engineering consulting firm.
- Experience or interest in sustainable design/LEED is desired.
- Preference given to local candidates.
