Join Haskell's Government Design group to deliver innovative, sustainable facilities for federal clients such as the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Federal Aviation Administration, U.S. Air Force, NAVFAC, and more.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop complete structural system design for various building and construction types of varying complexity.
- Coordinate work with other disciplines and perform interdisciplinary checks to minimize errors in drawings and specifications.
- Perform site visits and prepare observation/follow-up phase reports documenting progress and deficiencies.
- Review structural testing and inspection reports, respond to project RFIs, and review construction shop drawing submittals.
- Assist in preparing budgets with the discipline lead, monitor design progress and budget utilization, and ensure project completion within the stated fee.
- Direct technical efforts of junior engineers, designers, technicians, or interns, and mentor team members within the structural discipline.
- Participate in a collaborative and professional team environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
- 5+ years of experience with federal government projects
- Working knowledge of Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) and Unified Facilities Guide Specifications (UFGS)
Preferred Qualifications
- Structural Engineer (S.E.) license
- Working knowledge of U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) antiterrorism and security engineering principles
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, RAM Structural System, ETABS, RISA, and SAP2000
- Master's Degree focused in Structural Engineering
