Job Description

Position Overview

Freese and Nichols, Inc. is seeking a Registered Professional Electrical Engineer to join our growing electrical practice. This role supports our water and wastewater, municipal, governmental, federal, educational, commercial, and private practice clients across locations in Georgia, Oklahoma, South Carolina, or Texas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze existing electrical systems and make cost-effective improvements
  • Design full electrical systems, including power, lighting, and fire alarm for buildings
  • Conduct quality control reviews, inspect equipment, and perform on-site testing
  • Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Provide quality control for design documents
  • Ensure conformance with standards, established design practices, applicable codes, and technical adequacy of design and construction
  • Lead junior engineers in design development and professional growth

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Experience with power design, lighting design, and fire alarm design
  • Experience in all phases of design, from pre-proposal involvement to construction
  • Experience working with a diverse set of clients and subcontractors

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to obtain PE licensure in other U.S. states
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and knowledge of construction documents
  • Proficiency in Revit
