Job Description

Position Overview

As an Electrical Engineer, this position offers you the opportunity to utilize and expand your academic background in Electrical Engineering. You will work on project teams designing new high voltage and extra-high voltage substations and transmission systems, be involved in power transmission designs and preparing specifications for procuring major electrical power equipment, and travel to client and vendor offices for design reviews, construction coordination, and field verification of designs. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement with an expectation of spending three days a week in the office and two days remotely, along with a potential generous relocation package based on your location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work on project teams with other electrical engineers in the design of new high voltage and extra-high voltage substations and transmission systems.
  • Participate in power transmission designs and the preparation of specifications for the procurement of major electrical power equipment and related installation services.
  • Travel to client and vendor offices for design reviews, and to site locations for construction coordination and field verification of designs.

Required Qualifications:

  • We do not sponsor employees for work authorization in the U.S. for this position.
  • Education: BSEE or MSEE with a strong academic background and coursework in electrical power concepts/AC power systems analysis.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the practical application of electrical engineering principles, techniques, and procedures to project design.
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in producing technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A BSEE or MSEE from an ABET-accredited engineering program.
  • Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam and designation as an Engineer in Training.
  • Related engineering internship or co-op work experience.
