Position Overview
Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM where ambition meets action. As a Salesforce Cloud Technical Architect, you will serve as a pre‐sales, customer‐facing enterprise domain expert with broad technical skills and deep business acumen. In this role, you’ll support sales teams by developing value propositions that align with customers’ digital transformation and cloud adoption strategies. You will determine which Salesforce and third‐party technologies to leverage based on product expertise, industry experience, and proven architecture methodologies while leading key business and technical discussions.
Key Responsibilities
- Support sales teams in developing compelling Salesforce value propositions aligned with customer business strategies.
- Determine and leverage Salesforce and third‐party technologies based on industry experience and architecture methodologies.
- Lead key discussions around change initiatives from both business and technical perspectives.
- Participate in delivering solution best practices, reference architectures, and industry summits.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to understand business and IT requirements and translate them into compelling solutions.
- Deep knowledge of enterprise software applications and their delivery.
- Coding experience (Apex, Node, Go, R, Java, C#, JavaScript, Python, Ruby, etc.) and a willingness to work with code.
- Database and data management fundamentals.
- Experience in web and mobile application development and architecture.
- Understanding of application lifecycle management and integration principles/tools.
- Familiarity with enterprise data management, process orchestration, and network/application/information security principles.
- Strong oral, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strategic problem solver with thought leadership and comfort communicating with executive audiences.
- Excellent time management skills to support multiple, concurrent projects.
- A lifelong learner who is inquisitive, practical, and passionate about sharing knowledge.
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, or other STEM fields (relevant work experience is also acceptable; graduate study is a plus).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience as an architect, solution engineer, IT consultant, or developer in a customer-facing role delivering differentiated software solutions.
- Hands-on experience in building, implementing, administrating, or maintaining enterprise software.
- Understanding of risk mitigation, compliance, and security.
- Experience with design thinking, persona-based discovery, or other innovation techniques.
- Proven experience in a specific field, vertical, or market segment is advantageous.
- Knowledge of the Salesforce platform, including Salesforce Certifications and/or Trailhead Superbadges.

- Compensation: For Washington-based roles, base salary ranges from $158,200 to $247,730; for California-based roles, the range is the same.
