Position Overview

The Senior Marketing Automation Specialist at Cengage Group drives world-class marketing automation strategies. In this role, you will collaborate with marketing, product, and technology teams to ensure the flawless execution and optimization of automated marketing campaigns within Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC), ultimately enhancing customer engagement. Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate strong expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud and its key features, including Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Salesforce Connector, Distributed Marketing, Mobile Studio, and Audience Builder.
  • Manage multi-audience email campaigns globally with proficiency in email marketing methodologies.
  • Troubleshoot system issues, implement effective solutions, and manage integrations between Salesforce and Marketing Cloud.
  • Ensure precision when building automated marketing journeys, focusing on data accuracy and system configurations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, communicate technical concepts clearly, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Explore, research, and propose innovative approaches to drive marketing automation adoption.
  • Monitor and analyze campaign performance to offer actionable insights for optimization.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of Marketing Cloud administration experience managing complex journeys with multiple decision splits and data sources.
  • 3+ years of experience in Email Campaign Management and Delivery Leadership, including production and segmentation strategies.
  • 2+ years of experience with digital marketing tracking tools such as Google Analytics.
  • Salesforce Associate certification or higher is required.
  • Marketing Cloud Administration certification or higher is required.
  • Basic to moderate knowledge of AMPScript, SQL, and HTML.
  • Understanding of CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and other data privacy regulations.

  • Compensation: Base pay range of $67,000.00 - $87,100.00 USD; individual pay will vary based on work schedule, qualifications, experience, internal equity, and geographic location. Sales roles may include a significant incentive compensation program.
