Information Technology Analyst

Position Overview

Salary: $87,184.97 - $105,973.87 Annually
Location: Fountain Valley, CA
The City of Fountain Valley is seeking an energetic, self-motivated individual to join our Information Technology department. This role involves technical support, system implementation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and other IT services designed to keep our technology infrastructure running efficiently.

Working under the general supervision of the Information Technology Manager, you will provide professional support to diverse technology programs, ensuring system reliability and security while delivering superior customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Provides analytical support to citywide technology programs including business applications modification, network communications, telecommunications, and website management.
• Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and maintains complex enterprise network systems and servers to ensure operability across multiple platforms.
• Monitors system performance, tests and implements hardware/software enhancements, and ensures systems meet reliability and performance standards.
• Provides professional support for diverse business applications by evaluating, creating, and scheduling upgrades and installations.
• Designs and updates website front-end systems and coordinates interdepartmental integration of data and applications.
• Participates in enterprise systems security by installing and monitoring security hardware/software, and responding to security issues.
• Administers employee access to computer systems and email, including password resets and compliance audits.
• Conducts system analysis for the design, implementation, maintenance, and upgrades of enterprise information systems.
• Assists in the development and implementation of technology protocols, policies, procedures, and end-user training initiatives.
• Stays current on emerging technologies and trends, recommending innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, information systems, business administration, or a related field.
• Experience Required: Four or more years of professional experience providing IT support to information systems programs.
• Requirements: Must possess a valid Class "C" California Driver's License.
• Demonstrated knowledge of integrated information systems operations, troubleshooting methods, and network security management.
• Ability to independently manage work priorities, meet deadlines, and effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.

Preferred Qualifications

• Qualifications: Experience managing enterprise software applications and projects is preferred.
