Job Description

Position Overview

Smartsheet is seeking an experienced sales professional to join our team as a Client Development Manager. With a strong history in quota attainment and developing customer accounts, you will play a key role within the Commercial Sales team. This remote role is based out of Bellevue, WA and reports to a Manager, Commercial Sales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Exceed software and services sales quotas.
  • Execute a complex, solution-based sales process across multiple groups within Emerging or equivalent accounts (up to 50 employee size).
  • Develop new business opportunities by analyzing and proactively targeting high-value needs across multiple departments and lines of business.
  • Articulate and demonstrate Smartsheet's unique business, solution, and functional value.
  • Build executive awareness, manage the sales pipeline, and drive bookings growth in immature accounts.
  • Define account strategies in partnership with the Sales Engineer, Customer Success Manager, and Solutions Consultant to ensure sales velocity.
  • Develop unsolicited proposals that align with customer initiatives and position Smartsheet as an enterprise software solution provider.
  • Effectively forecast sales opportunities and track important metrics that predict sales success.
  • Utilize Smartsheet in executing daily sales activities.
  • Track all relevant sales activity using our CRM platform.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • 1+ years of SaaS full cycle sales experience exceeding quota, working in Emerging accounts.
  • Proven experience managing and maintaining B2B customer relationships.
  • Sales experience in a technology-oriented field with a strong understanding of the sales cycle from prospecting to renewal.
  • Strong analytical ability to uncover cross-sell and up-sell opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Experience prospecting and managing a designated territory to maximize revenue growth.
  • Ability to remain optimistic and persistent under pressure.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for internal and external interactions with senior corporate management.
  • Familiarity with CRM software packages and proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • Passion for working with new technologies and technical concepts.
  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of post-secondary education and experience.
