Position Overview
Now Hiring a Mid-Level Automotive Technician at Goodyear! Enjoy a competitive base pay starting at $19/hr (based on experience) along with excellent benefits and on the job training. Work in one of Goodyear’s 580+ tire and auto service centers where you will develop hands-on expertise diagnosing technical issues and delivering outstanding guest service. Walk-in interviews are welcome Monday – Friday, 10 AM to 3 PM at our Detroit location: 3075 E Grand Blvd, Detroit, MI 48202-3135.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform technician services including routine inspections, system diagnostics, brake repairs, fluid exchanges/flushes, and tire installation.
- Deliver outstanding guest service with clear communication and timely feedback.
- Document all work performed and report any safety issues immediately to management.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to junior automotive technicians while promoting teamwork.
- Adhere strictly to company policies on vehicle care, safety, and operational standards.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of automotive experience including brake repairs, fluid flushes, and preventative maintenance.
- Must have a valid driver's license and be at least 18 years of age.
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
- Commitment to following established safety policies and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
- ASE Certification.
- Previous experience diagnosing vehicles and performing road tests.
- Experience with electrical systems, air conditioning, or primary and advanced fuel ignition systems.
