Job Description

Position Overview

Inside Sales Representative (ISR) at Yelp. In this role, you will educate business owners on the value of Yelp’s advertising platform and sell advertising space to help local businesses thrive. This remote position requires candidates to reside in the Western Region of the United States (excluding the Bay Area) and offers a supportive, results-oriented virtual team environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Educate, strategize, and successfully sell Yelp advertising programs through high-volume outbound sales calls (100% phone based).
  • Own and manage a pipeline of clients—from dentists to florists—organized in Salesforce.
  • Work one of the designated schedules (7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., or 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.) as determined by your manager.
  • Work remotely from home on a set Monday to Friday schedule, eliminating the commute.
  • Become an expert in Yelp’s advertising solutions by asking probing questions and overcoming customer objections.
  • Achieve and consistently exceed monthly sales goals.
  • Stay organized and manage your time effectively to meet daily targets.

Required Qualifications

  • GED/High School Diploma with 2+ years of customer-facing experience OR Bachelor’s Degree.
  • No fear of the phone and strong communication skills.
  • General computer and email proficiency (experience with Google Suite; MacBook provided).
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a distraction-free environment.
  • Must possess current US work authorization.

Benefits & Perks

  • Compensation:First-year earnings range from $50k–$65k annually (combination of base salary and uncapped monthly sales incentives), with Year 2 on target earnings at $70k and top performers averaging $112k. Starting base salary is $37k plus uncapped commission.
