Orthopedic Senior Sales Leader, Imaging & Resection

Position Overview
The Imaging & Resection Product Sales Manager is responsible for meeting predetermined sales targets for capital products within a designated territory. With over 5 years of experience in medical device sales—preferably in surgical imaging, OR integration, power instruments, or arthroscopic disposables—this role requires formal presentation training, expert negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of the capital sales process for hospitals and surgery centers. The manager works closely with the sales force and maintains in-depth knowledge of our leading product portfolio while providing consultation to surgeons in the operating room. They will also collaborate with the Arthrex Regional Imaging & Resection/Capital manager to execute market strategy and report directly to the VP of sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the team to meet and exceed sales objectives.
- Build and maintain strong business relationships to drive agency results.
- Communicate with current and new customer accounts regarding product updates, portfolio changes, and educational programs.
- Implement new sales plans and effective marketing strategies to position the organization competitively.
- Create and submit team quotas to executive sales leadership.
- Conduct ride-alongs and field visits to coach sales representatives.
- Establish and nurture relationships with residency and fellowship programs to drive product adoption and brand awareness.
- Devise and implement plans and meetings to ensure accountability for quota achievement.
- Identify new prospects’ needs and develop appropriate responses through various communication channels.
- Partner with the Medical Education team on course design, lab setup, and ongoing educational needs.
- Cross-sell additional products and manage new product introductions as they become available.
- Receive and transfer coaching, training, or mentoring from the director of sales.
- Lead by example, ensuring proper time management and sales initiative.
- Regularly analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
- Maintain a strong sense of urgency, multitasking effectively under strict deadlines.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds on a regular basis.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of medical device sales experience, preferably in surgical imaging, OR integration, power instruments, or arthroscopic disposables.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Demonstrated ability to relate to customers in the orthopedic/sports medicine market.
- Comfortable working in open operating room environments.
- Knowledge of orthopedic procedures, operating room protocols, and terminology related to Arthrex products.
- Ability to assimilate a high level of technical information, including anatomy and surgical indications.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Strong public speaking, communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure with a strong sense of urgency and competitive drive.
- Self-motivated with the capacity to work independently and make responsible decisions.
- Commitment to adhere to all Compliance and Code of Conduct policies.
- Current driver’s license and access to personal transportation.
