Entry-Level Early Intervention Autism Specialist

Position Overview

Action Behavior Centers is seeking a compassionate Behavior Therapist to work one-on-one with children aged 18 months to 8 years using play-based ABA therapy. In this full-time role with immediate openings, you will follow personalized treatment plans, collect simple data, and engage children through play, movement, reading, games, and hands-on activities.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, daytime hours (8am-5pm) *May volunteer for an occasional Saturday based on patient needs.
Location: 6335 E Main St, Suite 4 Mesa, AZ 85205.
Salary: High School/Associate’s Degree: $15.50 – $23.75 per hour; Bachelor’s Degree: $21.00 – $27.75 per hour; Master’s Degree: $22.00 – $28.00 per hour.

Required Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 30lbs.
• Capability to sit, stand, crouch, squat, and move quickly with young children.
• Frequent getting on and off the floor.
• Maintain an active pace throughout the day.
• Keep therapy spaces clean, organized, and safe.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Consistent attendance and punctuality.
• Willingness to complete paid RBT certification within 20 days of hire.
• Commitment to ABC’s core value of team; occasional support for a nearby sister clinic as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Childcare roles such as nanny, babysitter, preschool teacher, or tutor.
• Experience in Mental Health roles like QMHP or behavioral health technician.
• Experience as a Camp Counselor, Paraprofessional, Caregiver, or Life Skill Assistant.
