Position Overview
Engage PEO, recognized on the INC. 5000 Honor Roll for the Fastest Growing Private Companies, is seeking future Engagers for its Human Resources Department. The HR Associate/Paralegal will support in-house Human Resource Consultants by drafting legal documents, handling client communications, and ensuring timely responses. This Full Time-Non-Exempt remote opportunity (Central, Mountain, or Western time zone preferred) reports directly to the Managing Paralegal/HR Lead.
Key Responsibilities
- Interface with internal and external clients to support HR consulting functions and foster high client satisfaction and retention.
- Research and draft handbooks, policies, HR templates, job descriptions, and legal documents, including affidavits and subpoena responses.
- Manage hotline call intakes, conduct investigation pre-screens, and prepare investigation summaries.
- Prepare information packages on state, federal, and local employment regulations and provide written analysis to HR Consultants.
- Support EPLI Claim administration by preparing submissions, maintaining databases, and tracking invoicing.
- Conduct detailed Wage and Hour Audits following process guidelines.
- Maintain CRM data points and generate reports to support team metrics.
- Manage multiple competing priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Assist with template library maintenance, conduct HR function audits, and support training of new team members.
- Provide support to Legal and HR teams as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of one (1) year of HR or paralegal experience.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
- Experience with employment-related audits and drafting agency responses is advantageous.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional proficiency in another language.
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus.
- Experience with PEO or ASO environments and knowledge of ClientSpace and PrismHR.
Compensation & Benefits
Engage PEO offers a competitive Salary along with a comprehensive Benefits Package. The hourly rate for this position ranges from $23.08 to $26.44, subject to regional location, skills, and experience. Some positions may also include bonus or incentive compensation.
