Position Overview

In the role of Sales Planning Associate Director, you will lead the Sales Planning organization by developing and deploying a cross-channel category strategy and business plan for multiple Categories and/or Brands within an assigned Business Unit. You will collaborate with senior leadership—including the Business Unit General Manager and VP of Sales—to influence the development of an 18‐month Category Plan. Two roles are available.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage our People as Business Owners: Coach, develop and empower team members; manage staffing needs and succession planning. (40%)
- Drive the Business: Own the cross-channel strategy and business plan for Categories/Brands within the assigned Business Unit and represent the team on leadership forums. (30%)
- Category Planning and Strategy Development: Recommend integrated customer plans and manage the cross-category business plan release; partner with Customer, Sales, and Marketing teams to define category vision and priorities. (20%)
- Build Capability to Drive Growth and Eliminate Waste: Ensure the team has the tools and knowledge to drive growth and connect with cross-functional resources. (10%)
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of CPG experience
- Significant Clorox internal (Sales Planning) or equivalent experience
- Clorox external (Field/Customer) experience beneficial
- Expertise on Categories/Brands with significant Clorox and Customer knowledge
- Consultative/solution selling and Customer Business Planning (Diamond Planning process)
- Senior leadership communication and influence abilities
- Familiarity with Clorox matrix, processes, policy and cross-functional influence
- Change management expertise

- Transparent compensation: Pay is determined based on relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. Salary ranges include Zone A: $153,700 - $309,000, Zone B: $140,900 - $283,300, Zone C: $128,100 - $257,500
