Position Overview
Conversion is building the AI-native marketing automation platform for modern software companies. Our platform handles gigabytes of data syncs per customer, coordinates complex workflows for mission-critical go‑to‑market processes, and delivers high‑volume emails reliably. With **over $28M in funding** and a rapidly growing customer base of 4000+, we’re a lean, high‐performing team based in San Francisco looking for top technical talent to push the boundaries of marketing automation.
This is an in‑person role (5 days/week in San Francisco) where you’ll join our engineering team to design, build, and optimize our state‑of‑the‑art platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable platform features to handle large-scale data syncs and complex workflows.
- Collaborate with product engineers to empower feature development and unlock customer potential.
- Optimize system performance by balancing infrastructural changes with cost and benefit tradeoffs.
- Ensure reliability for mission-critical processes such as form submissions that generate revenue and high-volume email delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Experience building cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and platform features at fast-growing companies.
- Familiarity with our tech stack: Golang (backend), a job queuing system with Kafka, PostgreSQL, and cloud hosting with GCP.
- Demonstrated ability as an engineer multiplier—empowering fellow engineers to build impactful features.
- Strong analytical skills with a pragmatic optimization mindset, ensuring the right tradeoffs are made.
- Willingness to work in‑person 5 days/week in San Francisco.
