In this role, as Account Manager - Expansion (Chicago), you will be responsible for helping our Mid-Market customer base realize the full potential of our product by driving spend, retention, and adoption. This position requires in-office presence; applicants must currently reside in the designated geographic areas.
Location: Chicago, IL or Tempe, AZ areas
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively identify new revenue opportunities by hunting within your existing account base to generate business and consistently exceed quota.
- Drive growth and customer success by upselling within your dedicated book of business and ensuring maximum product adoption.
- Demonstrate strong communication and leadership skills by excelling in research, analysis, and presentations during customer-focused Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).
- Strategically plan and execute account growth by designing comprehensive business plans that include cross-selling and targeted strategies.
- Ensure smooth transitions and effective onboarding by facilitating the hand-off of key accounts from sales to account management.
- Present a compelling value proposition by positioning our expertise within the unmanaged travel space.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration with teams such as business operations, member support, and marketing to drive customer outcomes.
- Acquire in-depth, accurate knowledge of our platform and industry to become a trusted subject matter expert.
- Consistently meet or exceed daily KPI requirements to drive results and maintain operational excellence.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of account management experience in a B2B organization.
- Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit who takes initiative and adapts to changing demands.
- Positive attitude and energy, with strong communication skills.
- Experience with Salesforce, Outreach, Gong, or similar sales technologies.
- Ability to drive a consultative sales approach to improve retention and capture growth opportunities within an existing customer base.
- Strong organizational skills with a proven track record of retaining and expanding customer bases.
- Experience in utilizing technology to identify trends in customer account usage.
- Strong business acumen to partner with customers and drive solutions to their business challenges.

- Compensation: In addition to a competitive base salary, our compensation package includes an estimated variable target based on factors such as experience, expertise, and location. It may also include equity.
