Job Description
Position Overview
This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service to support the mission of the US Cyber Command. It is in the Professional Work Category at the Full Performance Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. Location: DISA J9(HAC)/HYBRID CLOUD SOLUTIONS DIVISION, Hill AFB, UT. Salary: $89,508 to $116,362 per year. Schedule: Full-time. Experience Required: At least one year of qualifying experience in advanced information technology and network management. Education: Education is not substitutable for the qualifying experience at the GG-12 grade level.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply comprehensive IT networking management concepts to establish and maintain constant communications availability and accessibility.
- Utilize in-depth knowledge of network management capabilities, operations concepts, and requirements analysis to troubleshoot complex network problems and outages.
- Maintain and leverage expertise in network systems, state-of-the-art communications equipment, interfaces, protocols, and standards.
- Use initiative to deviate from established procedures, develop new methods, research trends, and propose updated policies or procedures as necessary.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen. Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service.
- This national security position requires a favorable suitability review, security clearance, and adherence to pre-employment and periodic counter-intelligence polygraph examinations.
- Candidates must complete Foundational Qualifications within 9 months and Residential Qualification requirements overall in 12 months.
- Qualifications: Demonstrated attention to detail in IT work, customer service in maintaining client relationships and needs assessments, effective oral communication with management and technical staff, and strong problem-solving skills for complex IT issues.
- At least one year of qualifying experience at the GG-12 level is required, involving analysis, testing, evaluation, and maintenance of advanced networking equipment and protocols.
