Position Overview
THIS IS AN ONSITE ROLE. Location: King of Prussia, PA. As the Director of Marketing for an orthopedic manufacturer, your role would involve developing and implementing marketing strategies to promote your company's orthopedic products and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Marketing Strategy: Create a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with the company's goals and objectives. This includes identifying target markets, positioning the brand, and developing marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness and drive sales.
- Product Marketing: Collaborate with product development teams to understand the features, benefits, and unique selling points of orthopedic products. Develop compelling product messaging and positioning strategies to effectively communicate the value of these products to healthcare professionals, hospitals, and patients.
- Market Research: Conduct market research to gather insights on customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape. Use this information to identify new market opportunities, develop pricing strategies, and refine product offerings.
- Digital Marketing: Oversee the digital marketing efforts, including website development and optimization, search engine optimization (SEO), content marketing, email marketing, social media marketing, and online advertising campaigns. Leverage digital channels to generate leads, engage with customers, and enhance brand visibility.
- Brand Management: Maintain a strong and consistent brand image for the company and its products. Develop brand guidelines, ensure brand compliance across all marketing materials, and manage brand messaging and positioning.
- Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales team to provide them with the necessary marketing materials, sales tools, and training programs. Support sales efforts by creating presentations, brochures, case studies, and other collateral that effectively communicate the value proposition of the orthopedic products.
- Trade Shows and Events: Plan and coordinate participation in industry trade shows, conferences, and events. Develop booth designs, promotional materials, and presentations to attract potential customers and generate leads.
- Marketing Analytics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and initiatives. Utilize analytics tools to track and analyze marketing data, such as website traffic, conversion rates, and ROI. Use these insights to optimize marketing strategies and tactics.
- Relationship Management: Cultivate relationships with key opinion leaders, healthcare professionals, and industry stakeholders. Collaborate with them on educational programs, research collaborations, and other initiatives to enhance the company's reputation and influence in the orthopedic field.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all marketing activities comply with relevant regulatory guidelines, such as FDA regulations, HIPAA, and other industry-specific regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Experience Required: Significant experience in marketing, preferably in the healthcare or medical device industry. This may include previous roles in marketing management, product marketing, brand management, or related positions. Experience specifically in orthopedics or medical devices is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Orthopedics: A solid understanding of orthopedic products, procedures, and the healthcare industry is essential. Familiarity with orthopedic implants, prosthetics, surgical instruments, and related technologies will enable you to effectively communicate the value of your company's products and target the appropriate audience.
- Strategic Thinking: Strong strategic thinking and planning skills are crucial for developing and implementing effective marketing strategies. This involves the ability to analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and make data-driven decisions to achieve marketing objectives.
- Brand Management: Proven experience in managing and developing brands. You should possess a thorough understanding of brand positioning, brand identity, and brand equity, and be able to maintain a consistent brand image across various marketing channels.
- Digital Marketing Expertise: Expertise in digital marketing including website development, SEO, content marketing, social media marketing, email marketing, online advertising, and analytics tools. Familiarity with marketing automation software and CRM systems is also advantageous.
- Leadership and Team Management: Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a marketing team, set goals, provide guidance, delegate tasks, and foster a collaborative work environment.
- Communication and Presentation Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for creating persuasive marketing materials, delivering compelling presentations, and engaging with diverse audiences.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to gather and interpret market data, track marketing performance, and make data-driven decisions using analytics tools and metrics analysis.
- Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of relevant healthcare regulations and guidelines, such as FDA regulations and HIPAA, to ensure all marketing activities adhere to legal and ethical standards.
