Job Description
Position Overview
As an Audit Analytics Business Analyst at Lincoln Financial Group, you will coordinate
interactions among Internal Audit staff, third-party consultants, the Development Analyst,
and business unit project sponsors to identify and implement technical requirements for various
audit analytics projects. You will leverage your knowledge of IT and operational controls along with
strong project management skills and Agile development methodologies to transform large volumes of data
into actionable insights, support internal investigations, and deliver comprehensive audit reviews
and reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify project requirements by expediting communication between the Audit Analytics team and project sponsors through conference calls, video conferences, and online meetings.
- Prioritize requirements to secure quick wins and maintain project momentum.
- Execute testing of data analytics programs and operational audit projects using languages such as ACL, Visual Basic, R, SQL, Python, SAS, and advanced Microsoft Office Excel.
- Track and resolve identified issues during testing and project execution until complete resolution.
- Perform quality reviews of program documentation in accordance with IT and Internal Audit standards.
- Provide Internal Audit management and project sponsors with periodic updates on project status, including actual hours, budget, and completion estimates.
- Serve as a technical resource by consulting with team members and other Internal Audit staff on data analytics matters.
- Participate in brainstorming and the creation of ad hoc/continuous monitoring routines to support investigations and fraud risk monitoring.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with internal teams and business unit management.
- Execute production data analytic programs, resolve exceptions in consultation with business management, and draft the final memos and reports.
- Adhere to department protocols to maintain confidentiality of all records and information.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience as a business analyst in the financial services or data analytics field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Data Analytics, Accounting, Actuarial Science, or a related field.
- Experience in data analytics, operational auditing, and project management.
- Strong interpersonal skills with excellent verbal and written communication, attention to detail, and a self-motivated approach.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau.
- Technical certifications in Project Management and Agile SCRUM training.
- Other certifications like ACL Certified Data Analyst (ACDA), CPA, CFE, CISA, or CIA.

- Compensation: $65,700 - $118,300 base pay (actual base pay may vary based on experience, education, and qualifications).
