Join our team as an Entry-Level Mechanical Engineer and gain hands-on experience designing HVAC and plumbing systems for diverse projects. This role is perfect for recent graduates eager to apply their technical knowledge to real-world challenges while learning from industry experts. This is an In-Office position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in designing HVAC systems (ductwork, equipment selection, ventilation) and plumbing systems (domestic water, sanitary, gas piping) using AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and Carrier HAP.
  • Perform load calculations, energy modeling, and pressure loss analyses for HVAC and plumbing systems.
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and electrical engineers to integrate mechanical systems into building designs.
  • Prepare construction documents, including detailed drawings, specifications, and equipment schedules.
  • Conduct site visits to assess existing systems, verify installations, and troubleshoot design issues.
  • Ensure compliance with ASHRAE, International Mechanical Code (IMC), UPC, and Washington State energy codes.
  • Participate in design reviews and contribute to value-engineering solutions to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
  • Support senior engineers in project coordination and client communication.
  • Review, analyze, and interpret RFPs, RFQs, Addenda, and procurement documents to determine submission requirements, evaluation criteria, and scope needs.
  • Support the development of Statements of Qualifications (SOQs), technical proposals, project narratives, capability packages, and bid responses.
  • Coordinate with senior engineers and project managers to gather technical content, resumes, project sheets, scope narratives, schedules, and staffing plans.
  • Prepare and format proposal documents using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Canva, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and compliance with client requirements.
  • Maintain and update proposal templates, standard content libraries, qualification databases, and project information sheets.
  • Track deadlines, submission requirements, and internal review milestones to ensure timely and complete delivery of proposals.
  • Assist in preparing pricing tables, staffing charts, labor-hour estimates, and responses to evaluation forms and questionnaires.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 0–2 years of experience (internships or coursework in HVAC/plumbing design preferred).
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Canva.
  • Basic understanding of HVAC principles (e.g., psychrometrics, heat transfer) and plumbing systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills and teamwork mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with energy modeling software (e.g., Trane TRACE, Carrier HAP, EnergyPlus).
  • Knowledge of sustainable design practices (LEED, Green Building, and WELL Building Standard).
  • EIT certification or intent to pursue PE licensure.
