Position Overview
In this role as Electrical Engineer - Power Design at Manpower Engineering Careers, you will join a large electrical engineering firm’s Power Engineering Team supporting multiple clients. You will be responsible for designing and constructing industrial plant power systems, performing electrical calculations (arc flash analysis, load flow, protective relay coordination, and short circuits using ETAP), and interfacing with clients. Based in Bakersfield, CA (Relocation provided), this role offers an attractive compensation package of $100K-$160K base plus sign on bonus and bonus.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and construction of industrial plant power systems.
- Interfacing with clients for power systems projects, upgrades, troubleshooting, etc.
- Performing electrical calculations and studies including arc flash analysis, load flow, protective relay coordination, and short circuits using ETAP.
- Occasional local travel to customer sites for troubleshooting and presenting power solutions.
Required Qualifications
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering or similar (BSEE).
- 7+ years’ experience in power systems design and distribution, including work with industrial manufacturing companies.
- 4+ years’ experience performing electrical calculations and studies (arc flash analysis, short circuit, load flow, voltage drop, etc.).
- 2+ years’ experience with ETAP.
Preferred Qualifications
- SEL relay experience preferred; GE acceptable.
