Position Overview
This position is incentive eligible. New Hires may receive UP TO 3,500 Sign-On Bonus!We are seeking a Limited Medical Radiology Technician (LMRT) who is a champion of patient care. As a dedicated X-Ray Tech - Medical Assistant, you will be an integral part of our team, providing support to providers and nursing staff while ensuring a high standard of care at CareNow urgent care, operated by HCA Healthcare.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform various clinical duties in support of providers and nursing staff, including taking vital signs, obtaining patient history, collecting lab specimens, and performing EKGs. May apply splints, dressings, and bandages as directed, and prepares, maintains, and cleans exam rooms.
- Check patients in and out using the computer system and assist the Patient Representative with front desk duties.
- Greet patients, manage check‐in/out procedures, conduct end-of-day close out tasks, perform lobby checks, and handle records release.
- Maintain records and logs on activities, including in-house lab work, drug screens, and lab work sent to external laboratories.
- Perform equipment and supply audits as scheduled.
- Collaborate closely with the Center Manager, Medical Staff, Front Desk Coordinator, and all clinic staff to ensure smooth operations and high customer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate as required by the state.
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Services.
- Limited Medical Radiology Technologist (LMRT) license in the state of residency.
- Ability to obtain a BLS Certification within 30 days of start.
- Must obtain a Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months of employment or promotion.
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assistants or completion of an approved program (BOTP) is preferred.
- 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting is beneficial.
