Job Description

Position Overview

Cyber Security Analyst is a full-time role focused on building robust cyber defense mechanisms using cutting-edge technologies to protect classified and unclassified systems. You will perform forensic analyses, monitor for security threats, and support the mission of a major Intelligence Community Agency. The position requires working one weekend day (Sunday), with additional weekend and holiday shifts as needed. Opportunities exist across multiple US locations including Washington D.C., Reston (VA), Colorado Springs (CO), Riverdale (MD), Pearl Harbor (HI), and part-time support in Tampa.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather and handle forensic evidence in accordance with Rules of Evidence and perform forensic analysis of digital information.
  • Monitor, detect, and report indicators of misuse, abuse, data spillage, insider threat, and security violations.
  • Identify acceptable use policy infractions and review event logs to determine events of interest.
  • Monitor for fraud, waste, abuse, inappropriate content, illegal activity, productivity loss, non-compliant behavior, and identity leakage.
  • Prepare case evidence and incident reports.
  • Work on special projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree and 8+ years of relevant experience (or equivalent education, certifications, and experience).
  • DoD Approved Baseline 8570 IAT Level III certification (e.g., CASP, CISSP, CISA) required prior to start date.
  • DoD Approved Baseline 8570 CSSP Auditor certification (e.g., CEH, CySA, CISA) required prior to start date.
  • Must possess TS/SCI clearance and be able to obtain and maintain a Polygraph.
  • US Citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Splunk, Microsoft O365, Fidelis, Solera, Windows, and Linux operating systems.
  • Availability for Saturday and Sunday day shift work, with willingness to work holidays as needed.

  • Compensation: Likely hourly rate between $61.30 - $82.94, based on experience, location, and contractual requirements.
  • Scheduled 40 hours per week with minimal travel requirements (<10%).
