Position Overview
We're seeking an Associate in Wealth Management Operations to join the Morgan Stanley Bank Operations Oversight team. In this professional role within Risk, Regulatory & Resilience, you will support documentation, measurement, analysis, and mitigation of operational risk for U.S. Banks while working closely with various business units across the Firm. Based at Morgan Stanley Baltimore, you will help devise and implement effective controls, manage financial transactions, and foster client relationships. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in risk management along with at least Experience Required: 5 years of relevant experience. Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject matter expert within the functional area, working with the Team Manager to manage processes, risks, and projects, and propose as well as implement improvements.
- Act as a key problem solver by applying detailed knowledge to address unique challenges, recognize risks, and identify key issues.
- Coordinate work efforts, train and develop team members, and allocate tasks effectively across projects.
- Produce vital Operations reporting for Senior Management by identifying, collating, and reporting KRIs/KPIs to measure operational bank business risk.
- Provide day-to-day operational support through effective oversight and serving as the central point of escalation for Operations areas supporting U.S. Bank Entities.
- Collaborate with various product areas to ensure the correct booking and support structure for products affecting U.S. Bank Entities.
- Oversee and implement U.S. bank regulatory initiatives as they apply to Operations.
- Partner with Bank Management on strategic initiatives, including the expansion of the Bank into new product offerings and cost optimization planning.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to lead by example, work with drive and determination, and present challenging views to senior levels.
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the functional area along with operational and compliance policies and procedures.
- Ability to operate independently while managing day-to-day responsibilities effectively.

- Proficiency in identifying key control points within processes and assessing both preventative and detective controls.
- Proven ability to meet tight deadlines combined with an execution-focused approach.
- Experience with risk management related to daily processing, escalation of issues, and proposing resolutions.
- Strong understanding of the U.S. banking industry and its applicable regulatory requirements.
Benefits & Perks
- Salary: $51,000-$83,000 per year
- Compensation: Eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award and participation in a business unit-specific incentive compensation plan, which may include a discretionary bonus component
