Job Description
Position Overview
Join Adobe’s Gen AI Experience Engineering team as an AI/ML Engineer. At Adobe, we change the world through digital experiences and empower creators—from emerging artists to global brands—to deliver exceptional digital products. In this hands-on role, you will evaluate problems, choose the best approach from LLMs, classical ML, heuristics, or hybrid systems, and build scalable, high-quality solutions that improve user experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop end-to-end intelligent solutions by integrating LLMs, classical ML, heuristics, and hybrid pipelines.
- Build and deploy backend services, inference pipelines, RAG systems, and scalable APIs for the AI Assistant.
- Design and implement prompting strategies, multi-step workflows, and interactive AI experiences.
- Create automated evaluation pipelines to measure quality, safety, latency, and reliability while preparing datasets for fine-tuning and experimentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including Product, Engineering, Design, and ML—to deliver innovative customer-facing features.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in machine learning, applied AI engineering, or full-stack intelligent feature development with a focus on solving core ML problems.
- Hands-on experience with both LLM-based and traditional ML techniques, with the judgment to select the appropriate tool for the job.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and experience building production services using languages such as Node, Python, TypeScript, or Go.
- Proven capability in designing evaluation frameworks, running experiments, and iterating rapidly from prototype to production.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with hybrid systems that combine LLMs and deterministic logic, vector search, or orchestration tools.
- Knowledge of Adobe Experience Cloud or similar enterprise SaaS ecosystems.
- Contributions to open-source AI/ML tools, model-serving frameworks, or evaluation libraries.
Benefits & Perks
- Compensation: U.S. pay range of $151,800 – $265,350 annually; in California, $183,300 – $265,350. For sales roles, compensation includes a total target package (base + commission), while non-sales roles include an Annual Incentive Plan (AIP). Long-term incentives such as new hire equity awards may also apply.
- Equal opportunity and an inclusive environment where every idea is valued.
- State-specific notices including Fair Chance Ordinances (California), an open application window (Colorado), and legal requirements (Massachusetts).
- Accessibility accommodations available upon request.
