Position Overview

Are you an experienced and adaptable Registered Nurse seeking an exciting travel opportunity? We are currently hiring Travel Registered Nurses - Med Surg to provide high-quality patient care in medical-surgical units. In this role, you’ll deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with diverse medical and post-surgical needs while working in dynamic healthcare settings across the country.

Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Assessment and Monitoring: Conduct thorough patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.
  • Medication Administration: Administer medications, treatments, and intravenous therapies as prescribed while ensuring patient safety and adherence to hospital protocols.
  • Wound and Postoperative Care: Provide post-surgical care, wound dressing, and pain management for patients recovering from medical and surgical procedures.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams to create and implement individualized care plans.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients and families about discharge instructions, disease management, medications, and recovery processes.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely records of patient assessments, treatments, and progress in electronic medical systems.
  • Emergency Response: Act promptly in emergencies by utilizing strong critical thinking and clinical judgment to ensure patient safety.

Required Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license / Valid state licensure
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical-surgical or acute care setting
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Strong knowledge of general nursing procedures and medical-surgical protocols
  • Excellent communication, adaptability, and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible schedules
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new healthcare facilities and teams
