Job Description
Position Overview
Under the general supervision of the Store Manager and Area Manager, the Customer Service Representative (CSR) supports daily store operations while upholding the company’s commitment to exceptional customer service. The CSR serves as the face of H&S Energy, creating a positive experience for every guest through friendly interactions, product knowledge, and efficient service.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service Excellence: Greet customers with enthusiasm, deliver friendly and efficient service, follow the company’s Four Steps of Customer Service, communicate current promotions and loyalty programs, and represent the company professionally.
- Cash Handling & Register Operations: Operate the POS system accurately for cash, credit, and debit transactions, ensure correct change and receipts, perform safe drops and cash counts, and verify identification for age-restricted items.
- Store Presentation & Merchandising: Stock shelves, coolers, and displays; maintain signage, promotional materials, and pricing accuracy; remove expired or damaged items; and ensure a neat and inviting sales floor.
- Food & Beverage Handling: Prepare and maintain self-serve and ready-to-eat food/beverage stations while following food safety, sanitation, and temperature guidelines, and regularly clean equipment.
- Maintenance, Cleanliness & Safety: Keep the facility clean, refill supplies, follow safety procedures and emergency response protocols, and report any equipment or safety issues immediately.
- Additional Duties: Adhere to shift duty checklists, assist with car wash operations (if applicable), and perform any other job-related tasks as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in retail, food service, or customer-facing roles preferred
- Basic knowledge of POS systems and cash-handling procedures
- Strong customer service, communication, and teamwork skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs, and work in both indoor and outdoor settings
Preferred Qualifications
- CPR and First Aid training a plus
- Basic Microsoft Office skills a plus
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
