Position Overview
Project Manager, Infrastructure (Contract) – WWT is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Technical Project Manager to lead external, customer‐facing projects in a Professional Services environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background working with the Federal Government, must possess a valid Security Clearance, and work within the Central Time Zone (USA). Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of large, complex projects with multiple work streams.
- Develop detailed work breakdown structures (WBS) with interdependencies and defined critical paths.
- Design and execute effective internal and external communication strategies for all management levels.
- Monitor and report project progress to stakeholders, ensuring timely deliverables and profitability.
- Build and strengthen relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Create and maintain resource plans for effective allocation across a portfolio of projects.
- Utilize project management tools to drive efficiencies and improve execution.
- Implement quality assurance and engagement review procedures in line with company methodology.
- Proactively manage changes in project scope and execute risk management plans.
- Analyze and manage project financials including profitability, revenue, margins, and budgets.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience as an Infrastructure Technical Project Manager.
- Experience in a Professional Services environment with external customer engagements.
- Must have a Federal Government background and the ability to read and interpret government contract awards.
- Valid Security Clearance is required.
- Must be located in the Central Time Zone (USA).
- Strong understanding of both theoretical and practical project management aspects.
- Extensive experience in people management, strategic planning, and change management.
- Proven skills in risk management with effective communication to leadership.
- Excellent documentation, team building, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation) and proficiency with MS Office Tools and project management software.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP certification is desired.
- Experience with financial processes including analysis and creation of financial reports (preferred experience with Clarity).
