In this role, you will perform order entry tasks, collaborate closely with the pharmacist, and help ensure the accuracy of the medication dispensing process for patients in skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, and chronic care settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform order entry tasks and collaborate with team members during the medication dispensing process.
  • Work alongside the pharmacist to ensure accurate processing of prescriptions and maintain high-quality customer service.
  • Triage customer service requests by department, urgency, and required information.
  • Calculate and/or verify the correct dosage based on prescriptions.
  • Assist in reviewing that narcotic prescriptions are refilled in a timely manner.
  • Provide the dispensing pharmacist with information regarding allergies, drug interactions, therapeutic duplications, and other flagged items.
  • Create and maintain accurate customer records.

Required Qualifications

  • Certification, licensed, or registered pharmacy technician as required by state law.
  • One (1) or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician.
  • Education: Verifiable High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in the long-term care industry.
  • PTCB National Certification.

  • Salary: $17.00 - $28.46 per hour
  • Schedule: Full time, 40 hours per week
