Position Overview

The Business Development and Marketing Specialist will play a pivotal role in driving business growth by identifying new opportunities, fostering client relationships, and developing targeted marketing strategies to enhance the company’s market presence. This role combines expertise in sales, business development, and marketing to create effective campaigns that promote glass products and services while increasing brand awareness and revenue generation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to identify and pursue new business opportunities within the glass industry.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients including architects, contractors, fabricators, and distributors.
  • Conduct engaging presentations and product demonstrations to showcase how products meet technical, aesthetic, and sustainability requirements.
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, competitor activity, and customer needs within the glass and construction industries.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to drive lead generation and ensure products and services align with client demands.
  • Manage and coordinate participation at industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events.
  • Create and execute marketing strategies to promote glass products and services to target audiences.
  • Provide technical content and educational materials to inform clients about the benefits and applications of NSG glass products.
  • Plan and run integrated campaigns across platforms such as LinkedIn, Google Ads, YouTube, and industry-specific digital media.
  • Develop and manage lead generation programs including gated content, webinars, and digital trade shows.
  • Collaborate with design and content teams to produce marketing materials, product catalogs, presentations, and digital assets.
  • Analyze market data and campaign performance to evaluate effectiveness and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Maintain the company’s website and social media profiles to reflect the latest product offerings, industry trends, and brand messaging.
  • Coordinate with external agencies, photographers, and vendors to ensure high-quality production of promotional materials.
  • Optimize web content for SEO and manage paid advertising campaigns to drive qualified traffic.
  • Track and report key performance metrics including traffic, engagement, lead quality, and conversions.
  • Conduct A/B testing, optimize ad spend, and implement improvements based on data-driven insights.
  • Monitor competitor digital activity and market positioning.
  • Adhere to NSG/Pilkington Standards of Business Conduct and related company values.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.

Required Qualifications

  • BS/BA in Business, Marketing, Sales or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in business development, marketing, or sales, preferably in the glass or construction industries.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing marketing campaigns and driving sales growth.
  • Expertise in running and optimizing digital marketing campaigns with an emphasis on lead generation, content strategy, and data analytics.
  • Experience working with external providers for advertising space, marketing materials, and sample promotions.
  • Familiarity with CRM software, marketing automation tools, and digital marketing platforms.
  • Strong understanding of business development strategies and lead generation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage and persuade a diverse audience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Analytics, SEO, and social media marketing platforms.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Business or a related field, or relevant certifications.
  • Previous experience working with architects or within the construction trade.
  • Strong knowledge of glass products and their applications in architectural, residential, decorative, and other environments.
