Job Description

Position Overview

Under the direct supervision of the Assistant Marketing Director, the Regional Marketing Manager serves as the main marketing contact for Northeast offices, overseeing local marketing initiatives, events, and sponsorships in collaboration with leadership and client growth teams. This role manages budgets, client entertainment activities, and supports community engagement efforts. The employee must be able to perform all essential job duties and responsibilities satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Compensation: $125K - $160K

Key Responsibilities

  • Management oversight for all Northeast office hosted marketing and business development events including but not limited to on and off-site receptions, large meetings, co-hosted events, and political fundraisers as assigned.
  • Works closely with the Client Growth and Marketing Team to deliver high quality experiences for clients and guests of the Northeast offices.
  • Makes recommendations to Office Managing Partner/Partner-In-Charge regarding local memberships, sponsorships, and community support to maximize marketing value.
  • Manages local client and community budgets as well as local sports and entertainment budgets; collaborates with Office Managing Partner’s/Partner-In-Charge and the Assistant Marketing Director to develop the annual budget and monitor monthly performance.
  • Oversees all aspects of local contributions and sponsorships, including internal/external communications, payment processing, maximizing sponsorship benefits, ad and logo coordination, and ticket/table fulfillment.
  • Manages client entertainment ticket allocation and distribution while maintaining relationships with vendors.
  • Utilizes a marketing database for list management, event registrations, and post-event tracking.
  • Uses business development research tools to identify marketing prospects, conduct due diligence, and provide strategic marketing information as requested.
  • Communicates current event-related information to the website coordinator and updates internal tracking documents and calendars.
  • Stays abreast of PR activities and initiatives related to assigned offices and connects lawyers with the communications team and client growth members as needed.
  • Travels regularly to regional offices as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Four (4) years of progressively responsible related work experience, preferably including heavy event planning and coordination in a professional services industry.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with a diverse group of attorneys, staff, and clients with courtesy, tact, and confidentiality, while effectively negotiating and representing the firm.
  • Experience using marketing databases and familiarity with marketing-related computer tools. Proficiency in Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work more than forty (40) hours per week, including irregular hours and occasional travel, to meet the demands of the position.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and complete them under time constraints.
  • Excellent proofreading skills for grammatical, typographical, and spelling accuracy in written materials, along with superior written and oral communication abilities.
