Position Overview
As a Data Science Consultant at Deloitte, you will be a key member of a dynamic team that empowers organizations to build deeper relationships with customers using innovative strategies, advanced analytics, Generative AI, transformative technologies, and creative design. You’ll work alongside strategists, data scientists, engineers, and creatives to solve complex data problems and drive sustained customer value.
This role involves translating business goals into machine learning use cases, developing predictive models, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand business goals and translate them into Machine Learning use cases and model design.
- Apply clustering/sampling techniques to design effective solutions.
- Develop a deep understanding of the multi-channel marketing optimization problem space.
- Perform exploratory data analysis to identify relationships and cross-channel opportunities.
- Quickly iterate over feature transformations and model types to identify the best predictive models.
- Interpret and validate the models generated throughout the process.
- Develop proofs of concept to verify innovative ideas.
- Ensure that proposed solutions perform as intended and are clearly understood by clients.
- Work collaboratively with clients and internal teams throughout engagements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's in a quantitative field (engineering, mathematics, physics, machine learning, statistics, or computer science).
- At least 2+ years of industry experience outside of academia.
- Ability to travel approximately 30% based on client and project requirements.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's in a quantitative field (engineering, mathematics, physics, machine learning, statistics, or computer science).
- Strong problem decomposition skills and autonomy in solving data challenges.
- Experience in manipulating large marketing data sets and performing ETL processes.
- Hands-on knowledge of modeling approaches including Boosted Trees, Logistic Regression, Classification Techniques, Unsupervised Models, LLM, and experimental design.
- Exposure to large data sets in Ad Tech or Marketing technology spaces.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey complex data insights to non-technical audiences.
- Proficiency in high-level scripting languages, such as Python or R.
- Understanding of the strategic application of data science methodologies for driving business outcomes.
- Experience sharing open domain code (e.g., GitHub) or publishing about AI/DS is a plus.
- Familiarity with Deep Learning architectures and/or Reinforcement Learning.

- Compensation Range: $93,000 to $171,300
