Medical Assistant (Outpatient) - Full Time (Temporary), AHMO Fowler

Position Overview

Adventist Health Reedley, serving the Central Valley since 2011, is a 49-bed acute care hospital with 60 clinics in 27 rural communities. Located between the State's coastal mountain ranges and the Sierra Nevada Mountains, Reedley offers a beautiful landscape, a great cost of living and close-knit communities. In this role, you will perform non-invasive, routine, technical support services under the supervision of a licensed physician, podiatrist, physician assistant, nurse practitioner or nurse midwife.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up exam rooms and check in patients.
• Maintain a patient recall system, including continuity of care log for lab tests, referrals, and transfers.
• Obtain vital signs.
• Report significant findings and pertinent patient observations to the clinic physician.
• Perform venipunctures as ordered.
• Conduct audiometry and vision testing.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• High School Education/GED or equivalent
• Basic Life Support (BLS/HS-BLS/RQIBLS) Health Care Provider certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or equivalent combination of licensure and experience
• Successful completion of audiometry and vision training or certificate from CHDP within six months of hire
• Phlebotomy certificate
