Position Overview

The Boeing Company is seeking a Senior DevOps Developer to join their team at multiple locations across the United States. In this role, you will design, implement, and manage infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines to support software development and deployment in both cloud and on-premises environments. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, design, implement, deploy, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure using cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), SAAS products (Databricks, Snowflake) and on-premises solutions.
  • Design and develop reusable IaC modules for deploying Kubernetes, Databricks, Snowflake, and other cloud services on AWS and Azure.
  • Build and optimize continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for rapid and reliable software releases.
  • Automate repetitive tasks, including provisioning, configuration, and monitoring using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
  • Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting systems (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack) to ensure system reliability and performance.
  • Integrate DevOps pipelines with tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
  • Collaborate with developers to integrate DevOps practices into the software development lifecycle and support containerized applications (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Ensure infrastructure and pipelines adhere to security best practices and compliance requirements (e.g., ITAR, EAR, SOC 2, GDPR).
  • Diagnose and resolve infrastructure, deployment, and performance issues in various environments.
  • Automate, monitor, and optimize cloud resource usage to balance performance and cost efficiency.
  • Integrate DevSecOps practices including secret management, vulnerability scanning, and compliance checks.
  • Maintain clear documentation of infrastructure, processes, and configurations while mentoring team members to foster a DevOps culture.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • 5+ years of experience in reliability, software development, DevOps, or infrastructure.
  • 5+ years of experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) in cloud environments.
  • 5+ years of experience with DevOps tools (e.g., GitLab, Ansible, Terraform, Jira, Azure DevOps Pipelines, GitHub, AWS CodeBuild, AWS CodePipelines, AWS CodeGuru).
  • 5+ years of experience with software programming/scripting (such as Python, Unix/Linux scripting, FORTRAN, C/C++).
  • 5+ years of experience with containerization and Kubernetes (e.g., Elastic Kubernetes Service, Azure Kubernetes Service).

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Current industry certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, ECS) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Experience with security, compliance, and networking in cloud-native and hybrid environments.
  • Experience with microservices architecture and serverless computing.
  • Experience with AI & generative AI use cases and implementations.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and practices.
  • Experience with data engineering workflows and ETL orchestration (e.g., Airflow, Control-M, Autosys).
  • Experience with data platforms and warehouses (e.g., Redshift, Snowflake, Databricks).

Benefits & Perks

  • Compensation: Competitive base pay and variable compensation opportunities. Summary pay range for Level 4: $123,250 - $208,750; Level 5: $148,750 - $251,250.
