Position Overview

Join UT Southwestern as an Operating Room Registered Nurse specializing in multi‐specialty procedures (General, GYN, ENT, Plastics, Urology, Abdominal Transplant). In this role you will provide expert intraoperative care while taking call and fulfilling Charge Nurse responsibilities. Enjoy a **$10,000 Sign-on Bonus** and work Monday–Thursday from 20:15–06:45 with an orientation schedule from 06:15–14:45 (Monday–Friday for up to 12 weeks).

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and document the physiological, psychological, and sociocultural health status of patients during the intraoperative phase.
• Develop and implement an appropriate plan of care using critical thinking skills and timely documentation.
• Communicate patient status and observations with the healthcare team to ensure optimal care delivery.
• Supervise, direct, and coordinate care assignments for team members while delegating duties within legal parameters.
• Serve as a technical resource and preceptor, ensuring safe and cost-effective handling of instruments, supplies, and equipment.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an NLN approved nursing program
• Minimum 1 year of Operating Room RN experience
• Valid (NLC) Nursing Licensure Compact-BNE or current Texas license
• Completion of a (BLS) Basic Life Support course accredited by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Preferred Qualifications

• Scrub experience preferred
• CNOR certification is a plus
