Position Overview
As a Global Marketing Associate Manager, Baseball, you will be a crucial member of the team responsible for developing innovative and disruptive marketing programs to reach New Balance's Baseball consumer. You will assist in the research, planning, and execution of Baseball category and product content initiatives. In this role you will work cross-functionally with internal teams (Merchandising, Creative Services, PR, Social, Retail, Digital, Product, Legal, Partnerships) and external partners (Agencies, Media) and serve as a resource for regional marketing teams, key athletes, and retailers to grow our presence in Baseball.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of Seasonal Global Marketing plans.
- Develop campaigns, aligned to consumer journey needs, that drive demand for both athlete signature and inline baseball products.
- Support on yearly Athlete Activation planning.
- Partner with regional leads on select events and activations such as World Baseball Classic and Opening Day.
- Own content creation, publishing and community management for the New Balance Baseball social media channel.
- Manage product launch calendars and a real-time sport moments calendar.
- Manage all seasonal product ordering of samples for seeding and production.
- Provide on-the-ground support for global photoshoots and productions with talent.
- Work with the Global Partnerships team to activate partnerships such as MLB and the NY Mets.
- Manage and distribute global assets across cross-functional and regional marketing teams.
- Assist with budget support including entering PO's, processing invoices & tracking payments, and managing product samples (prototypes, sales samples, and XTRs).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- 5+ years of relevant marketing experience with brands, agencies, teams, or media companies preferred.
- Strong understanding of digital-first demand generation with a track record of driving marketing results.
- Superior problem solving and analytical skills.
- Strong executional skills with the ability to consistently produce results and meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written presentation skills, with proficiency in PowerPoint.
- Previous experience working with professional athletes is preferred.
- Up-to-date with industry and marketing trends, as well as sports and culture.
- Demonstrates strong knowledge of relevant social platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat, and TikTok.
- Proactive, adaptable, and self-motivated with superior attention to detail.
- Budget and project management skills are essential.
- Experience working with international markets is preferred.
- Bilingual in English and Japanese is preferred but not required.
